Another much changed side gave more reason for optimism as they dominated long spells of a game against a much higher status club.

Another excellent move down the right Involving Marcus Moore and Dan Gray again found Warner In a good position but his goalbound shot hit a defender who had got back goalside.

Defensively Alton still looked vunerable and having survived a couple of scares fell two goals behind to another blunder, encouraged by the movement and ball retention the side hit back right on half time, a lightning break out of defence having defended a corner saw Dan Gray release Ryan Warner he held off a defender and released Marcus Moore to slot home.

The second half was dominated by the young Alton side with Dean Preston showing maturity beyong his years and a workrate to match as Andover clung onto their lead.
