Probably the youngest ever senior side fielded by Alton Town (one aged 20 and the other 10 starters 18 years old or younger) comprehensively beat their more experienced North East Hants neighbours on Saturday afternoon.

The youngsters movement and simple use of the ball caused the home side problems from the start and during a very one sided second half they opened them up time after time.

Dan Gray opened the scoring half way through the first half finishing well when the home defence were caught square f ollowing a clever move down the left Involving Ryan Warner and Alex Ledger.

Only some sloppy finishing kept the score respectable as the away side dominated possession with all 4 defenders happy to take the ball from their own keeper and start good periods of possesion.

The game was over 20 minutes Into the second half as another Dan Gray strike and Ben Chalartta following up his own penalty that the home keeper had parried after Ledgers break Into the box was unceremoniously halted looked to have ended the game as a contest. Liss did pull back a goal when Adam Henwood could only parry a long shot and a striker slotted home. This prompted a raft of substitutions by Alton which only resulted in another wave of attacks and Warner and Ollie both scored simple tap ins as the youngsters finished the game as they started.
