Headed goals from winger Duncan Bray and striker Simba Mlambo gave Alton a 2 - 1 advantage at half time and when Ben Dillon added a third after the hour the points looked safe for the home side although a sharp goalkeeping from Craig Atkinson was still required to keep the evergreen Stuart Findlay at bay.
