Goals from Lewis Benson and Alex Lowley secured a 2-1 away win at Combined Counties Bookham on Tuesday night.

The game was played at the home team's training pitch and the small sloping pitch was not the best and tested the first touch of all throughout the evening. Playing down the slope Alton dominated the first half with several triallists on show and took the lead midway through the half, Benson scoring with a header from Simba Malambo's right wing cross.

Bookham equalised with a somewhat fortunate rebound, Nyamunga saved well from an initial shot and Steve Brown's clearance bounced off a striker into the net.

This stung the away side into a concerted effort to regain the lead and the home goal rode its luck as the home keeper made a couple of smart saves before young Sam Knight delivered a great cross from the right and Alex Lowley arrived at the back post to drive the ball home.

Lowley was a real threat in the last quarter as Alton claimed a good win in difficult conditions.
