3 goals in the last 15 minutes ultimately secured victory for the home side in a game in which they were the better side throughout.

Two goals down at half time to an early strike and a second right on half time having struck the bar themselves from Tom Brown's freekick. Another half a dozen changes did not change the tempo of the home side and they quickly reduced the lead when young Lewis Osborne finished well when clear on goal.

Still dominating Petersfield were relying on catching Alton on the break and did half way through the half when then home side were caught short at the back and once again took a two goal advantage.

The young Aton side refused to roll over and in the last twenty minutes wave after wave of attacks were launched at the Petersfield goal. Brown hit the bar again from another free kick and then the trhee goals. John Lancashire reduced the arrears and Sam Knight pulled them level with 5 minutes to go when both were set free on goal and cooly finished with just the keeper to beat.

Such was their dominance that they even had time for a disallowed goal from Knight which set up the grand finale. Osborne raced clear again to beat the advancing keeper and win the game.

Two excellent games and great entertainment for the crowd.
