This game will have taught a few of Alton's young side a bit of a lesson, you can dominate possesion and create lots and lots of goalscoring opportunities but sometimes it just will not happen for you.

Puzzled looks all round as to how this game was not won although praise must be offered to the home keeper who was outstanding and whilst riding their luck and profiting from some very wasteful finishing the Whitchuch side certainly worked hard throughout.

In fact as realisation set in to the Alton side that 'would not score if they were there all night' they created a couple of decent chances themselves. Frustration kicked in as the game went into the later stages and the passing game that had lead the home side a merry dance became really sloppy. Hopefully lesson learned.
