Nick Tayler made an impressive first team debut following his recent transfer to the Brewers. Nick took the place of his look-alike James Hammond, who has gone working abroad for a year or more, and played with similar passion and commitment.

Excellent goalkeeping in the home goal deprived Steve Brown of a first half hat trick but he wasn't to be denied when a quickly taken free kick on 70 minutes put him through to open the scoring when one on one with the keeper. Just a minute later Scott Sanderson bore through from the edge of the box to fire low into the bottom corner to complete the scoring.

With the Brewers busy in midfield and strong at the back Craig Atkinson in the visitors' goal had just the one direct shot to save although his handling of crosses was immaculate throughout.
